Weather Vane Patina Finish

The copper weathervane has evolved into the most popular type of weather vane. This is due to the fact that natural copper forms a protectorate coating of green patina.This natural appearing finish gives the weathervane an antique quality that many people find warm and appealing on their homes.
 
We would like to share with you our special recipe that adds a lovely patina finish to a polished weathervane.

Into a 1 quart spray bottle, mix ½ quart of water, ½ quart white vinegar, and 4 tablespoons of salt. Lightly mist onto the entire weathervane surface so as not to allow running. Let the spray dry. Repeat the application until the desired patina weathering effect is reached.
